Angel Khaytyan (He/They, Boston, MA) began his training at Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge, MA. They attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts on a full-tuition scholarship, where they received a BFA in Dance. While at NYU, they performed works by Camille A. Brown and Stephen Petronio, worked with choreographers including Rena Butler and Dwight Rhoden and trained with companies including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Gibney, and Yin Yue Dance Company. Upon graduating, Angel joined DanceWorks Chicago under the direction of Julie Nakagawa. While at DanceWorks, Angel toured and performed nationally as well as internationally throughout Germany and the UK. There he performed works by Robert Battle and Demis Volpi and trained with companies including Ballett Am Rhein (Düsseldorf, Germany) and Rambert Dance (London, UK). Angel joined Saint Louis Dance Theatre in July 2024.
