Angel Khaytyan moved to St. Louis to join Saint Louis Dance Theatre in July 2024 after performing with DanceWorks Chicago. Angel began training at Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts on a full-tuition scholarship, graduating with a BFA in Dance.

At NYU, they performed works by Camille A. Brown and Stephen Petronio, collaborated with choreographers including Rena Butler and Dwight Rhoden, and trained with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Gibney, and Yin Yue Dance Company.

With DanceWorks Chicago, under Julie Nakagawa's direction, Angel toured nationally and internationally, performing throughout Germany and the United Kingdom. Their repertoire included works by Robert Battle and Demis Volpi, and training with Ballett Am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Rambert Dance in London.
