Kyra Jacobs

Kyra Jacobs (she/her) is a classically trained dancer, choreographer, and dramaturg from Dallas, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and graduated summa cum laude with a minor in marketing from Ball State University (BSU). While enrolled at BSU, Kyra further enriched her education through intensives with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (Create and Explore), Bruce Wood Dance Dallas (WOOD|WORKS), and Joffrey Ballet School (Musical Theater New York). Kyra has performed works by Anthony Thomas (restaged by Beverly Bautista), Jamal Story, Brandi Coleman, Albert Drake, Indya Childs, Bob Fosse (restaged by Mary Ann Lamb), Alysia Johnson, Jonathan “Jojo” Alsberry, and Juel D. Lane. Kyra is grateful to continue her artistic journey as a trainee with Saint Louis Dance Theatre and is most excited for the opportunity to combine her passions for dance and community engagement through SLDT’s outreach initiatives.
